Description:
Anakin is a tall and handsome young man with blue eyes and brown hair. He has a very athletic body thanks to his years of Jedi training, but has two very noticeable scars from his tenure in the Clone Wars. There is a scar going down the right side of his right eye and a gold and black cybernetic arm that has armored shielding to appear to be muscular like the rest of his body. He Jedi attire consists of black and brown robes and has a black glove covering the entire arm.
Personality:
Anakin is a bold and confident young man who is willing to put his life on the line to protect others, especially the ones he cares about. While he may have the potential to become galaxy's most powerful Jedi, he is far from a perfect Jedi. Because of his immense natural talent, Anakin is arrogant and has a penchant to show off. He also struggles to keep his emotions in check and does not have a mastery of the self like most Jedi making him passionate, impulsive, willful and quick to anger. His biggest weakness however is his loyalty to his friends and loved ones. And because of his mother's death, he fears losing them again leading him to do amoral things to keep them safe.
History:
Anakin's conception is something that many would consider unnatural. Through the manipulation of midi-chlorians, Darth Sidious impregnated a virgin woman by the name of Shmi Skywalker creating a being with the the largest midi-chlorian count in galactic history. This meant that Anakin had the potential to become the strongest Force user and would have been taken by the Jedi Order as an infant if he had been born in the Republic. Unfortunate, he was born on Tatooine, a desert planet outside the jurisdiction of the Republic. And to make matters worse, Shmi was a slave making him a slave by default as soon as she gave birth to him. Initially, the two were owned by Gardulla the Hutt until she lost the two to Watto after losing a bet to him.
Even as a boy, Anakin was a skilled mechanic and Watto had him use his talents at his junk shop. Watto was harsh and demanding as a master, but he did furnish Shmi's home in the slave quarters and he did sponsor Anakin in several podraces after discovering his talent as pilot. Though it should be noted that he would always bet against him as Sebulba always won. Because of his kind and generous nature, Anakin tried to make his mother's life easier and even made a protocol droid by the name of C-3PO to help around the house. He always dreamed of leaving Tatooine and traveling among the stars. His life would change forever when he was nine when a Jedi by the name of Qui-Gon Jinn, a gungan named Jar Jar, a droid named R2-D2, and a handmaiden named Padme entered Watto's junk shop looking for a T-14 Hypderdive generator for their crashed ship.
The boy was drawn to Padme's beauty and even asked if she was an angel from the moons of lego. Since Watto was immune to the Jedi mind trick and didn't want credits, Qui-Gon and his companions left the shop with Anakin leaving shortly after them. On his way back home, Anakin saw Sebulba attacking Jar Jar and broke up the fight before taking the group to Jira's fruit stand. After giving one of his palles to Qui-Gon, the Jedi briefly lifted his poncho revealing his lightsaber which surprised Anakin as it meant that he was a Jedi. After learning from Jira that a sandstorm was coming, he took Qui-Gon and the others back to his house. As they broke bread, Anakin's suspicion of Qui-Gon being a Jedi was confirmed to be to be true and learned of their situation of their ship being stranded on the planet.
Since the Boonta Eve Classic podrace was coming up, Anakin volunteered to enter the race with his pod and use the prize money to buy the parts they needed. Shimi initially didn't want her son to race as she was always concerned about his safety whenever he raced, but let him after realizing that he was their only hope. The next day, Anakin would take Qui-Gon to Watto's shop and the Jedi convinced Watto that Anakin's pod was his before making a deal where if Anakin won, Watto would collect his winnings save for the money needed for the parts. If Anakin were to lose, Watto would get their ship. Anakin would fix his pod later that day and Qui-Gon told his mother that her son had the potential to become a Jedi before asking who the father was.
Shmi explained to the Jedi Master that Anakin had no father and after testing Anakin's blood and learning that his midi-chlorian count was over 20,000 he believed that Anakin was the one who would bring balance to the Force. The Chosen One. On the day of the race, Qui-Gon tried to free Anakin and Shmi by betting Anakin's pod, but Watto refused claiming that no pod was worth two slaves. When Qui-Gon suggested that the bet should be for the boy, Watto was hesitant to offer him up and used a chance cube to decide between Shmi and Anakin. Qui-Gon would manipulate the cube as it rolled and it was decided that Anakin would be freed should he win the race.
Anakin would win the podrace and it was revealed to Anakin that he was free after he got home and that he was to be trained in the ways of the Jedi. When Anakin learned that his mother wasn't free, he was hesitant to leave her behind as he was afraid that he would never see her again. But his mother convinced him to leave with Anakin promising to come back later and free her. As Qui-Gon and Anakin made their way to the ship, Darth Maul swooped in and attacked the Jedi Master. As Qui-Gon fought the Sith apprentice, Anakin went onto the ship with Qui-Gon jumping on just before it took off. The Sith apprentice would watch as the royal star ship left the planet and headed to Coruscant. After getting to Coruscant, the Queen of Naboo went to the Senate to inform them of the Trade Federation's invasion of her planet and Anakin went with Qui-Gon and his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi to the Jedi Council.
After informing the Jedi Council of what happened during the mission and, Qui-Gon told the Council about Anakin and his belief that he was the Chosen One. The Council would invite Anakin into their chamber where he was tested and while it was confirmed that Anakin was strong with the Force, he was not to be trained as his future was clouded and he was too old to begin the training. Since the Queen of Naboo was going back to her planet and it was believed that this Sith assassin would attack again, they ordered Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan to follow so that they could unravel the mysteries of the Sith that have eluded them for so long. Qui-gon would take Anakin with them giving him a brief lesson on the Force and telling him to pay close attention so that he could learn from him.
After arriving on Naboo, the Queen went to the gungans to get their support in fighting the Trade Federation's droids. The gungan leader initially refused until Padme revealed that she was the Queen of Naboo and that the person they were talking to was her bodyguard. The group came up with a plan to distract the main droid army with the gungan army while the queen, her men and the Jedi would go to the palace and get starfighters for their pilots so that they can blow up the control ship that controlled the droid army. As this was happening, the Queen and the others would capture Viceroy Gunray so that they can end the invasion for good. As planned, they went into the hanger with Qui-Gon telling Anakin to stay in one of the starships to be safe. After entering the ship with R2-D2, Darth Maul revealed himself forcing Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan to fight him as the queen and her men would attempt to capture the viceroy.
Since the starfighter was on autopilot, Anakin joined the other pilots in the space battle and blew up the control ship after landing in the hanger and taking a shot at the power generator. With the droid army disabled and the viceroy in Padme's hands, and Darth's Maul's defeat at the hands of Obi-Wan, the war was won. Unfortunately, Qui-Gon died at the hands of the Sith Lord and made Obi-Wan promise to train Anakin in the ways of the Force. As promised, Obi-Wan took in Anakin as his padawan learner after being promoted to the rank of Jedi Knight. Initially, their relationship was a rocky one as Anakin believed that Obi-Wan was forced to take him in as a padwan because of his promise to Qui-Gon and it didn't help at all that Obi-Wan wasn't ready to train a padawan so soon after his promotion.
While Anakin wasn't a perfect student, he did hope to gain Obi-Wan's approval as he saw him as a father figure. But since he wasn't getting enough approval from him, another man gave him the approval that he needed and that man was Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. The former senator from Naboo had taken a great interest in Anakin's career since the battle of Naboo and he would listen to Anakin's problems and stroke his ego. As his Jedi training progressed, he became more arrogant in his abilities as they surpassed Obi-Wan's and he even grew to believe that he rivaled Yoda as a swordsman which was far from the truth. When Anakin was 19, he was reunited with Padme after he was assigned to protect her with Obi-Wan after an assassination attempt.
Padme herself was no longer Queen of Naboo since her term was up and was now a senator. Being a teenager, Anakin was of course smitten by her beauty and was nervous around her. Anakin and his master stayed in her apartment with Anakin hoping that the assassin would make another attempt on her life so that they could capture him and find how who hired him. As they waited, Anakin told his master about how the dreams of his mother suffering were keeping him up at night and Obi-Wan told him that dreams would pass. When the assassin made his attempt, both Obi-Wan and Anakin chased after him through the city planet of Coruscant. As Anakin chased him, he learned that he was in fact a she and that she was a changeling.
The two managed to apprehend her and attempted to integrate her. The assassin said that it was a bounty hunter who hired her and she was cut off after another person killed her with a poison dart from a distance. On the Jedi Council's orders, Anakn was to protect Padme on her home planet while Obi-Wan was to track down this bounty hunter who was trying to kill her. Anakin and Padme would go to Naboo as ordered with Anakin hitting on her during their stay. The two would eventually share a kiss. Anakin of course wanted to have a relationship with Padme even though it was against the Jedi code and was even willing to have this relationship with her in secret. Padme on the other hand came back to her senses and rejected the idea as their positions wouldn't allow a romantic relationship between the two.
Anakin continued having dreams of his mother suffering and couldn't take it anymore. He would go to Tatooine to save his mother taking Padme with him as it was his duty to protect her. After finding Watto, he learned that he sold his mother to a moisture farmer by the name of Cliegg Lars, who freed and married his mother. The two would make their way to the moisture farm and met Cliegg Lars, his son Owen and his daughter in law, Beru. He was also reunited with C-3PO who now had metal platting covering him. Unfortunately, Shmi was nowhere to be found and he learned from Cliegg that a band of tusken raiders abducted her. Using Owen's speed bike, he made his way to the village and found his mother on the verge of death after sneaking in.
The padawan freed his mother from her bonds and with her dying words told her son that she was proud of him and that she loved him. It was this moment that made Anakin snap and kill all of the tusken raiders in the camp out of anger, including the women and children. He would return back to the moisture farm with his mother's corpse and promised to her that he wouldn't allow something like this to happen again. After the funeral, he confessed to Padme about what he did in the tusken village and expressed remorse about what he did. The senator tried to comfort him by saying that his emotions made him human, but Anakin replied that he was a Jedi and that he should be better than that.
Anakin would then get a message from Obi-Wan that was to be sent to the Jedi Council. As he listened to the message with the Jedi Council, Obi-Wan explained that the Separatists were forming a droid army and that viceroy Gunray was the one who hired Jango Fett to kill Padme. The message ended with Obi-Wan deflecting fire from a droideka. Mace Windu told Anakin to stay put with Padme as he and the other Jedi would try to make a rescue attempt. Since the Jedi were on the other side of the galaxy and they were less than one parsec away, Anakin and Padme went to Geonosis in attempt to rescue Obi-Wan. But they were captured by the droid army and were sentenced to death for espionage by the Separatists who were headed by a former Jedi Master now Sith Lord by the name of Count Dooku.
The two were to be killed by three deadly creatures alongside Obi-Wan Kenobi in the arena and just before they entered, Padme admitted to Anakin that she loved him before sharing a kisss. As as the three fought them off, the Mace Windu and his team of Jedi arrived in an attempt to rescue them. But despite their valiant efforts, they were no match for the overwhelming numbers and fire power of the droid army. All seemed lost until Yoda arrived with an army of clone troopers which evened the playing field. Obi-Wan and Anakin attempted to end the war by going after Dooku, but he defeated Obi-Wan with ease and sliced off Anakin's right hand. The Sith Lord would have killed the two if it were not for Yoda arriving to confront his former padawan. The ancient Jedi Master overwhelmed Dooku with both his mastery of the Force and his blade work. Knowing that he couldn't win, he brought down a pillar to crush Anakin and Obi-Wan. Yoda saved the two by catching and moving the pillar away, but Dooku escaped on his ship and reunited with his Sith Master, Darth Sidious.
The Battle of Geonosis marked the beginning of the Clone Wars and Anakin received a mechanical arm before getting secretly married to Padme. She would give him R2-D2 as a gift who would aid Anakin in the war. Anakin would fight valiantly in the Clone Wars and was eventually promoted to the rank of Jedi Knight without formally taking the trials. Anakin would continue fighting the war as a Jedi Knight alongside Obi-Wan Kenobi with the two becoming close like brothers. The two became very famous for their exploits with Obi-Wan being known as the Negotiator and Anakin being known as the Hero With No fear. Believing that a padawan would help mature Anakin as a Jedi and make him less reckless, he was assigned Ahsoka Tano to train.
The two became close as Anakin trained her and he did mature a little thanks to it. When she was falsely accused of a bombing outside the Jedi Temple, nobody believed in her innocence save for Anakin who did everything in his power to prove that she was innocent. But even with that, her faith in the Jedi was shaken and left the Jedi Order. Anakin would continue to fight in the Clone Wars without her and his fame rose to the point where he was the poster child for the war effort and was considered the galaxy's greatest hero. Under the command of General Grievious, the Separatists attacked Coruscant and kidnapped Palpatine. Both Anakin and Obi-Wan left the outer rim and headed back to rescue him from Grievious's flag ship. After boarding the ship and finding Palpatine, the two confronted Dooku again.
Since the two have significantly improved since their first encounter of Geonosis, the two posed a serious threat to the Sith Lord. Through his superior mastery of the Force, Dooku managed to knock out Obi-Wan leaving him alone with young Skywalker. The old man attempted to erode Skywalker's will by taunting him, but it only angered. Being empowered by the darkside of the Force, Anakin overwhelmed Dooku and managed to cut off both of his hand before taking Dooku's lightsaber and holding both blades at his throat. Palpatine would then tell Anakin to kill the defenseless man making Anakin hesitate as it was not the Jedi way. But at Palpatine's insistence, he beheaded the count which Anakin immediately regretted. But Palpatine comforted him that it was only natural for him to take both of his hands as Dooku took Anakin's and rationalized that he was too dangerous to be left alive.
Anakin and Palpatine would attempt to escape the ship with an unconscious Obi-Wan who eventually came to. But the three were captured alongside R2-D2 by General Grievous. The four were brought to the bridge of the ship where Grievious taunted them after taking their lightsabers. R2 would then distract the general and the droids on board allowing Obi-Wan and Anakin to free themselves and fight to gain control of the bridge. While they did defeat the droids, Grievous managed to escape and launched all of the escape pods preventing them from leaving. Because of the damaged the ship sustained from the space battle, the ship began to crash towards Coruscant with Anakin doing the seemingly impossible task of landing the ship after half of it broke apart. As Anakin exited Grievous's flag ship, he suddenly found himself in the future.
Role Play Sample:
Anakin felt as though he was on top of the world as he stepped out the door of General Grevious's flag ship, the Invisible Hand. Not only did he rescue Supreme Chancellor Palpatine in a daring mission, but also killed Count Dooku single handily. While he did feel a bit guilty for killing the unarmed man, he kept telling himself that Count Dooku was too dangerous to be kept alive. Even without his hands, he could use some sort of Jedi mind trick in court and there was always the chance that the Separatists could launch a daring rescue of their own killing countless innocents in the process. After all, he was the leader of the Separatist movement making him just as important Palpatine was to the Republic.
After stepping foot onto the abandoned industrial zone that he crashed landed the ship in, he suddenly found himself in one of the streets of Nar Shaddaa. His eyes widened in surprise as the leap through time and space was instantaneous for the young Skywalker. He would then begin to look around at his surroundings and he couldn't help but notice how dirty the streets were as well as that god awful smell that the planet was known for. Am I in Curuscant's underworld? wondered the Jedi Knight as he reached out with his feelings to sense the world around him. While he could sense that the planet was teeming with life forms in mass concentrations, he could tell that where ever he was on wasn't as large as Coruscant.
He would then reach out with his mechanical hand and tapped the shoulder of a near by human male with grime on his face wearing clothes that were torn and dirty. "What the hell do you want?" questioned the man eyeing the Jedi Knight suspiciously.
"This isn't Coruscant, is it?" asked Anakin.
"Are you drunk or something? This is Nar Shaddaa" said the man before continuing on his way.
"How the hell did I end up on Nar Shaddaa?" asked the young knight to himself as he scratched the back of his head with his mechanical hand.
